Light:Can tolerate full sunlight. If over wintered make sure plenty of sunlight
Water:Plenty of water ï¿½ Never let dry out
Temp:They thrive in regular summer temperatures. During winter months do
not let temps fall below 50 degrees.
Soil:Any well drained potting soil is good.
Fertilizer:Feed regularly throughout the summer, but stop feeding in winter.
Pests:These plants are subject to virus or bacterial infections. If infected discard
plant there is no cure.
Special Care:Too much nitrogen based fertilizer, will produce lots of green leaves but no
flowers, cut back on the nitrogen in encourage flower production.
Flower Color:Red, Purple, Salmon, Coral, White, Pink, and many two tones
Growth Habit:Best if pinched back, to produce a bushier plant, can reach heights of
24 to 32 inches.
Fun Fact:Did you know they are called "Zonal Geraniums" because of the zones
of brown that follow the edge of the leaves
